Thad, I tried to send you a PM but you've exceeded your quota, so perhaps go and clear some out. Anyway, here's what I wrote. Sorry to clog this thread, other posters can ignore this post:
Hi Thad, I may be interested in a points stake for the promo today (particularly because I'm angry I lost my own 800+ points earlier this week). My only issue is that I'm a huge Pats fan and am not sure I really want to miss any of the game to be a degenerate gambler. However, I may get past this...

Sorry Thad, but if it were possible to "settle this bet," I'd gladly wager HEAVILY -- HEAVILY -- that I am correct about the rigging and you are in the wrong. I know variance. I've played countless, countless, countless hands of blackjack at both the Connecticut casinos, and at numerous Las Vegas casinos, running on 15 years now. I've sat for hours upon hours upon hours. I know the whole variety of what can happen and what usually happens..... It's no coincidence that at ONLINE casinos, when you bet LARGER, suddenly instead of losing approximately 50%...

There's so many ways to respond to your post that I don't even know where to begin. But I'll keep it short because I have waaay too much capping to do today!
First off, if you believe that David/Goliath/Moses/Sampson, etc. were real people and not characters in stories, I don't think we're even on the same planet to have a discussion, but whatever...
Secondly, you really believe there's an omnipotent God who favors a certain team or player in a football game?? Seriously?? What about all the hard-working, moral people on the other team who've given their...

A buncha points:
1) In my opinion, these lists are never designed to be "accurate", they're designed to be conversation-starters; I think they'd prefer to be controversial than accurate, so then more people check them out, everyone saying "No f'n way, fukk this stupid list" and then showing it to someone else. Same thing with "greatest athletes", "greatest rock bands", etc. I personally would prefer them go for something resembling accuracy.
2) Therefore, I'm trying not to be too annoyed with the RIDICULOUS choice of Jennifer Aniston for #1. I mean there's no doubt she was adorable on Friends and...

Seen people track their records in different ways and wanted a consensus on what should be acceptable and what shoudln't.
You can't ignore the juice in your "record", can you??
If a guy has, say, this:
Pittsburgh 5X
Idaho 4X
Oklahoma 3x
Colorado 2x
Michigan 1x
Then posts, say, these results:
Pittsburgh 5X W
Idaho 4X L
Oklahoma 3x W
Colorado 2x L
Michigan 1x W
He can't then say "Well, we had tough losses with Idaho and COL, but still a great night resulting in
+ 3 units! ", can he?
The only "correct" way to track gambling winnings is to include the fukkin juice... Thus, if you're going to post the...

Gimme a fukkin' break.
I know this is hard to read, but I think the second dealer card is always the one that was showing. Dumb how they do this.
Anyway, I play perfect BJ, but managed to go 0-7-3 in my last 10 hands, -1,032 points. Real good.

I've done it a few different times. Actually, each time I've build them up I've hit a new high. I remember all my point highs. First was 384 (before giving them back). Shortly after that I got all the way up to 1,833 before losing them. I thought it would be forever before I reached those heights agan, but not too long after, I hit my 2,253! Hit that like a week ago.
So it can be done. I guess I enjoy the grind of getting them up there. But then I just want to keep going. Next time I have 2,000 I'm getting $150 in gift cards. I think you can get that for that.
Oh, someone asked how I did it. It's 80% casino games (all of them are generous or deadly at various times... I generally try to trick them by strategically placing large bets in the middle of small ones, or I just try more or less Martingaling), 15% sportsbook, and 5% trivia.

Terrific thread, Dwight. I love appreciation threads and I love threads that make you think a little, and this is both. :grrr:
Kinda hard to answer while the season is still going strong, I mean the most interesting or memorable may be yet to come... But as of now, I'll go with:
- Pats dominating and setting insane efficiency records (turnover ratio, Brady's streak of TDs w/ no picks) in what we all thought was going to be a 9- or maybe 10-win "rebuilding" year
- Favre and Vikes drastically underachieving
- Randy Moss circus
- "HELMET-TO-HELMET HITS", especially on defenseless receivers
- A 7-9 division winner
- Marshawn Lynch's All-Time-Top-5 run
- Giants collapse vs. Philly
- Coaches getting canned mid-season
- Rex Ryan never shutting the hell up
- Reaching my fantasy league Super Bowl

Saw this last night. Maybe I'm in the minority, but this movie did nothing for me. Wahlberg is good, but Bale's performance is way over the top -- constantly mugging for the camera and dancing all over the place like a clown. I know what he was going for, but some subtlety would have been nice, it's almost like he was pushing for an Oscar with the performance! Amy Adams is really good though -- she captured Boston white trash the best of them all. (I'm from here and know people from Lowell, so I say this...

U gonna come through at all, Rod, or is this typical SBR welching? Like another poster said, it's so easy to just post whatever you want to get people to notice, then simply not come through if you lose.
What's funny is how the big proclamations lose more often than they win!
Porn, porn, porn, porn... Sick of the grainy free stuff, want some nice high def porn up in here!
